According to a BARRON’s report, an analyst predicts that Steve Jobs might have an unexpected surprise for this year’s Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference. Trip Chowdhry, an analyst with Global Equities Research, suggests that Apple will have a 7 minute block in the opening keynote devoted for Microsoft. “7 minutes of the June 7 keynote by Apple CEO Steve Jobs has been blocked off for a presentation by Microsoft to talk about Visual Studio 2010, the company’s suite of development tools,” Chowdhry said. The analyst believes that the new version of Visual Studio will allow developers to write native applications for the iPhone, iPad and Mac OS. In addition, Chowdhry believes that the presentation will be made by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer or by Bob Muglia, who runs Microsoft’s server and tools business. One of the most memorable appearances of a Microsoft executive in an Apple event was in 1997 when Bill Gates appeared via Satellite in Macworld Boston 1997. The appearance didn’t go very well with the audience. Below is a video from that appearance.
