Next generation iPod touch to come with Retina Display, two Cameras

Making a comment on Dell Streak $300 price, John Gruber, a well-sourced Apple fan, said that next generation iPod touch will be available in a few weeks and will come with two cameras and retina display. “That’s almost twice as much as a good iPod Touch, and if you wait a few weeks to buy the Touch, you’ll get one with a Retina Display and dual cameras. If Dell can’t make an iPod Touch competitor, who can?,” Gruber wrote. There are rumors that next generation iPod Touch will include a front face camera. In addition there are indications that FaceTime will allow calling without cell signal making it available to all iOS devices with camera. Apple is expected to unveil the new iPod touch in a music oriented event either next week, if you believe the rumors, or September.
