Imagine being at work and get an alert on your iPhone that something is “moving” in your home. You open your $4.99 iCam app that is connected to cameras at your home and you see two burglars trying to steal stuff. You call the police, and the two burglars are in custody. The story is true. It might happen to you as it happened to Vincent Hunter from Dallas. His iPhone and the iCam application helped him, while visiting relatives hundreds of miles away in Hartford, Connecticut. He watched the two burglars broke into his home. Hunter said the app sent him a text message Friday afternoon alerting him that motion detectors sensed movement in his supposedly empty residence. Hunter, who has webcams in his home, watched as two men are seen trying to break into the place. They eventually threw a brick through a glass door. He called 911 at the same time his home security system also contacted authorities. The webcams, minutes later, showed two police officers entering the house and arrest the burglars.
