Part of next generation iPhone (iPhone 5) surfaces, shows larger edge-to-edge screen

A part, reportedly from the next generation iPhone (iPhone 5), surfaced the web yesterday. In particular the part is the digitizer panel of the iPhone’s touch screen. As previous reports suggested, it looks like Apple will use the same form factor but larger screen for the next iPhone. Looking at the picture we can imagine an edge-to-edge screen, allowing Apple to keep the same size of the current iPhone 4 but compete with the larger screen Android devices. This would be a huge win for Apple as a lot of people complain about the size of the 4-inch Android devices but love the large screen size.

In addition, there are rumors that Apple might be working on a new iPhone nano device, smaller, without storage, that will work exclusively with data streamed from the cloud. However, the New York Times dismissed that rumor. Below is a picture showing what the new devices might look like.

Apple traditionally releases iPhone models during the June/July months each year with exception of the Verizon iPhone 4 that was released in February this year. However, there are reports suggesting that we might see a delay on this year’s models.
